Smart Suggestions from Our Techs

  • Schedule Early: Open early in spring to curb algae growth; book closings before the first freeze risk.
  • Consider a Variable-Speed Pump: Quieter, more efficient, and often pays for itself via energy savings.
  • Keep Chemistry in Range: Balanced water protects surfaces, equipment, and swimmer comfort.
  • Salt System Owners: Plan salt cell cleanings 1–2× per season, more often with hard water.
  • Refresh Filter Media: A sand change at 3–5 years (or earlier with heavy use) keeps clarity high.
  • Safety & Convenience Upgrades: Safety covers, automation, and LED lighting improve ease and enjoyment.

FAQs

Do you service above-ground pools?
No. Parrot Bay Pools services inground pools only for cleanings, openings, and closings.

How often should I schedule cleanings?
Weekly for peak season is best; bi-weekly works for lighter use. We’ll recommend a plan after a quick assessment.

When should I replace filter sand?
Typically every 3–5 years. Pressure spikes, cloudy water, or short filter cycles are signs it’s time.

How often should a salt cell be cleaned?
Usually 1–2 times per season; more in high-calcium areas.
