At Parrot Bay Pools, we recognize that purchasing above ground swimming pools can be somewhat overwhelming. That’s especially true if you don’t have all of the above ground pool information you need to get started. But have no fear, we compiled some start up tips for you. Before you go any further, check with your homeowner’s association to approve construction of an above ground pool and deck design. There are also city zoning regulations (including the applicable permits) that our customer service team can help you with.
Before you start with a design plan, determine how much space is available in your yard for a pool. Measure the area you want to put it in and leave at least six feet of leeway on all sides for the pool perimeter. Also keep in mind how you want to access your pool and if you’d like to include any decking.
Then, decide what shape you want for your above ground swimming pool design (round or oval generally), which certainly depends upon your available yard space and your purposes for the pool (just for your family or for entertaining large crowds, etc.). While you’re at it, consider what wall patterns you may be interested in to make sure they’re available for the size of pool you want.
Determine what swimming pool above ground sanitizing system you prefer, which is generally salt, chlorine or bromine as the sanitizing agent. All of these work in above ground swimming pools and all of them have their advantages and disadvantages. There is no right or wrong answer here; it’s just a matter of personal preference. We can gladly provide you with more information on each option.
There are other little things that you must decide for above ground swimming pools. Other equipment includes the type of filtration system and whether you want a water heater or not (which will extend your swim season).
Swimming pool covers are an important consideration, too. And there are accessories such as lighting and pool vacuums that keep the water crystal clear. Parrot Bay Pools representatives are happy to show you all of the available accessories.
We realize that this list is just a starting point, but it at least gives you some things to consider. Contact us at Parrot Bay Pools to get moving on your above ground pool design.
